Peace, please. #Ukraine

It’s hard to find the words for what’s happening at the moment.

As the world slowly claws its way out of one trauma, another begins.

This one is its own kind of frightening.

Not something masks or washing our hands can help prevent.

This has a source, a human one, with deliberate actions and devastating results.

Some people said lots online, some have said little.

I think it’s fair to say most of us are in a type of shock and bewilderment.

That just as the light seems near for many, it’s suddenly overcast with the dark cloud of war.

I feel like a helpless onlooker.

I hold my breath as the updates unfold.

My feed turns blue and yellow.

Everyone showing their support.

Writing a post about it seems fruitless.

What can I do to help?

Donate to a relevant humanitarian organisation.

Read and share reliable news sources.

Go to a solidarity event.

Pray for peace.

I can’t imagine what it’s like for the people of Ukraine right now, in the country and outside of it.

I cannot imagine what it’s like for any person trapped in a warring country.

Because there are many of them facing this every day.

May humanity and peace prevail as soon as possible.

For all. ❤️
